FOCUSED EVENTS LAUNCH ‘ULTIMATE DEMO’ TRACK SCHEME FULLY SUPPORTED BY DUCATI, KAWASAKI, SUZUKI AND YAMAHA

Europe’s premier track day organiser, Focused Events, have unveiled an ambitious track day demo-ride scheme where customers can ride the latest Supersport machines from the main manufacturers, at the circuit of their choice.

Riders can choose from the Ducati 848, Kawasaki Ninja ZX-6R, Suzuki GSX-R600 or Yamaha YZF-R6 at top circuits across the UK and Europe. Ducati and Kawasaki also offer the added bonus of a full refund of the hire bike costs for all riders who then go onto buy a 2010 Supersport machine, for a limited time.

These track-focused machines will be fitted with race-day bodywork and high performance rubber but will crucially retain their original characteristics for riders wishing to ‘ride before they buy’. For the ultimate test ride, riders can choose to try two machines head-to-head, before making that final purchase decision.

Focused Events have been working with all the major manufacturers to obtain as many models as possible for the best choice for track-day customers. The Manufacturer-distributors have supported the scheme as it gives riders a unique opportunity to test ride these machines in a focused and exciting race circuit environment.

An important additional factor for manufacturers was the unsurpassed line-up of nationwide circuits which Focused use to satisfy all potential customers, including Brands Hatch (London and South), Oulton Park (North West), Silverstone (Central), Knockhill (Scotland), Cadwell Park (North East), Snetterton (East Anglia), Anglesey (N Wales), Pembrey (S Wales), Mallory (Midlands) and Rockingham (Midlands).

The price for the bike-hire is £245 (Ducati 898 - £275) plus the circuit specific trackday cost (with prices as low £59 in off-season) and includes petrol, tyres and regular inspection by mechanics during the day. To test ride two machines back-to-back is the small additional sum of £45.
