Chris Walker and Graeme Gowland had the most successful weekend of the season so far with two solid results in both ViSK British Superbike Championship races. 

The sun shone and showed Knockhill at its best giving the bumper crowd a fantastic days racing and the Motorpoint Henderson's team a great result.

Chris Walker who was very lucky in the first race to survive a first lap turboing by an out of control Karl Harris, Harris made a mess of his braking at the hairpin and collected Chris as he crashed out. Knocked back to 17th on lap one Chris dug deep and brought his bike home in a fine 7th place just pipping his ‘Rookie' team mate at the line.

In race two Chris made a good start and tried to get into a fast rhythm, his best lap was the 3rd fastest of the weekend and showed how far the team have come with the new Yamaha.

Chris had a bit of a scare when the bike snapped sideways and this lost him a little bit of ground, but again Chris's fitness shone through and after the gruelling 30 lap race Chris finished in a brilliant 5th position. 

Graeme Gowland is now starting to show the potential the team know he has, the bike is getting better with every race and now Graeme's confidence and ability is showing through.

He has moved up to the next level of riders and is learning very fast how to run with them, a faultless weekend going faster with every lap and finishing with his best result of the season has to be his strongest showing yet.

"What a great weekend for the team, we have made mega progress with the bike and we are now running with the boys and can only get better.

Karl swiped me in the first race and made me work hard for 7th I guess I was lucky to survive, he is a bit solid to have running into the side of you!

Race 2 was good for us, I lost the tow a bit when I had a moment but I managed to keep the pressure on Rutter who made a mistake and we got a great 5th place.

I feel we made great progress and our race pace has stepped up, we are only half way through the year so plenty of time for us to move up the Championship table"

"What a great weekend for me and my team, my best qualifying and two awesome races, we have all worked hard to get the bike working like this and we all deserve a weekend like this. For me I feel that I have made great progress and moved to the next level, the whole weekend went without any problems and I feel I have learned so much, my fitness was needed as 30 laps around here was pretty tough but I feel great and ready for Mallory in a couple of weeks"

"When the sun shines and the day goes totally smoothly Knockill is fantastic place to be! Both the guys had a great weekend giving 110% for the cause and getting repaid with two solid results, my whole team need days like this, we have had too many of the other type! It's a shame Dan and Jon are injured and missing out on the good times. We are now half way through the season and I feel we have stepped up with the new bike and have a good chance of more weekends like this, well done to all my team and riders"
